“[…] Now continue to give in to [God’s] will and [God’s] wonder will take you higher.” –Paige Core
“God works in mischievous ways.”—My Granny I like details. I like knowing who, what, when, where, why, and how. If you and I have conversed you know this is true. However I am learning that surrendering means accepting a life filled with unknown variables. We become more fully who we are whenever we immerse ourselves in God’s wonder. The Infinite Mystery I identify as Great Spirit is committed to you Sojourner [PERIOD]. And the ways in which you and God will co-create transformative actions will appear out of sorts and maybe even a bit odd. Trust the process. Lean ever more into The Will and accept The Wonder! Thank you Paige for the beautiful note and thank you Granny for the reminder. Consistent immediate provision of all needs for the duration of one’s lived experience is indeed a mythical life to which some people aspire. No one wants to live within the dissonance caused by an unmet need. Romantic love, interpersonal intimacy, self-fulfillment, companionship, and holistic well being are all lost when discussions about unmet needs arise. Our discussions around what we need often begin and end with power and money.
Sojourner, some of the tumultuous terrains in your journey will happen upon you when your bank account is abundant, your lawn is manicured, and your freezer is full. Within a seemingly stable environment, your mind will ramble in restlessness as you are surrounded by what equates to an abyss of chaos for you. Lack or unmet needs shake the very foundations of our over indulgent and entitled western sensibilities. During periods of need, we are forced to examine ourselves and our values. When you are found lacking in some area or another, ask the Unmet Need to show you where and in what form Wholeness seeks to emerge within and beyond you. Your life is an unfolding dream replete with nightmarish episodes. As the journey into becoming develops and strengthens you, honor the reality that you are [insert the desired role, activity, goal here] [al]ready . For example, if you are in the initial research stages required to launch a business, wake up every morning affirming yourself as a founder and CEO. Regardless of your current birthing stage (conception, gestation, labor, or delivery), Sojourner you are expecting. [It] exists within you both as a part of you and as an independent concept capable of living beyond you.
An infinite reservoir of purpose and possibility exists within you. Accept your abundant life potential! You are the dream [al]ready. A delayed acceptance of your ability to fulfill [insert dreams, ideas, and initiatives here] hampers the arrival of the resources that you need. Stop standing in your own way. You are [al]ready! Now go forth and actively be! "In the grand scheme of things, your life, regardless of pain and difficulty, is an unfolding miracle. Your life is the coming of a dream. Honestly, I am always wrestling with the alphabet in an attempt to form cohesive sentences to express myself. I find myself, like many of you, waiting to receive a Life Giving Moment. I wait until I hear something within me from beyond me. And then, when I am sure of The Source, I write for us.
I want to encourage you to join me in this struggle to speak what remains hidden in silence. If you have not already, I encourage you to purchase a journal or start a new Word document and add writing to your meditative practices. Your unspoken words will heal us... Dream gestation or the process of coming true includes extended periods of preparation. Remaining committed to and compelled by your vision is increasingly difficult as the days become weeks and the weeks become years. Do not disconnect as you wait. While you are waiting, resources are aligning and significant variables to your success equation are unfolding. Dreams do not thrive in isolation. Every dream, like every Dreamer, requires the assistance of the entire Universe.

The work assigned to your Soul will fulfill you. Your Soul's work will also frustrate you at times. On your journey to fulfilling your purpose, you will experience heart ache. You will know pain intimately. Sojourner, do not be deceived. Living into the fullness of you does not entitle you to any form of exemption from human suffering. Every form of energy, both energy born of love and energy born of fear is a necessary force in your becoming. Energy born of fear materializes in abusive behaviors and negative emotions. The purpose or reasons why you encounter this kind of exchange varies and depends on the specific lessons you need to learn. Although you may not deserve [it], negativity can sharpen you if you "choose to [regenerate] pain into learning" (You Are God's Dream by Kanisha Billingsley p. 25).

Sometimes there is a “cause” that you are willing to acknowledge as logical and appropriate. Other times you are overwhelmed by your lack of understanding. Sojourner, do not allow rejection to undermine your present commitments and your future possibilities. Instead, focus your energy on strengthening your character and solidifying your plans. When rejection greets you, rest in your awareness of Divine acceptance and the unwavering support of those persons who are committed to your well being. Regardless of yesterday’s pain, affirm each sunrise with a proclamation that is sure to revive your Soul: “Eternal Love accepts me regardless [PERIOD]!" "In the grand scheme of things, your life, regardless of pain and difficulty, is an unfolding miracle. Your life is the coming of a dream. Your life is the co-creative component of the Divine birthing process that happens within human consciousness and lived experiences [...]" -Kanisha Billingsley Many of us continue to sing, “should’ve, would’ve, and could’ve” at the end of every year because we maintain a belief that there is a time when all things align in perfect order without chaos and discord creating the perfect moment to launch a business, try a new hobby, move to a new place, partner with a new person, and pursue a new dream. Please open your mind, body, and Soul to receive this reality: The right time to do your thing is often different from how you imagined it would be when the moment arrives. Great novelists have written their best works during seasons of unemployment. Notable actors and actresses landed their premier jobs during what appeared to be a season of lack and disappointment. Online resources we cannot live without emerged out of unmet needs and garages. Some computer software programs and many electronics that changed the way we live were crafted by college dropouts in desperate need of a space to invest their genius and creativity beyond traditional educational facilities. Sojourner, as I posted previously, chaos is a component of creative energy. The key is discerning just what the chaos is seeking to birth within you and what you need to birth into the Universe. Whenever an idea calls out to you, that exact moment is the perfect time to start your ground work: research, ask questions, do a quick list of what you need in order to bring the idea into reality. In the fullness of time when you least expect it, you will stumble across those notes and discover that you have the guidelines to make the unfolding dream come true! WithLove-InPeace-ThroughGrace "In the grand scheme of things, your life, regardless of pain and difficulty, is an unfolding miracle. Your life is the coming of a dream. Your life is the co-creative component of the Divine birthing process that happens within human consciousness and lived experiences [...]" -Kanisha Billingsley To ensure that you avoid extensive ruts on your journey, focus on establishing lifelong commitments to your health and overall development. Goal oriented motivation is only viable until the goal is reached or the idea is capable of living beyond you. Goal oriented motivation is necessary for completing tasks but proves futile when one hopes to enjoy a fulfilling life. Individuals who are enthusiastic and motivated about life are generally invested in more than just their immediate future.
For example, being motivated to complete a written assignment is temporary. Once the assignment is completed and turned in, your focus shifts to the next item on your agenda. Motivation to lose a certain number of pounds is not sufficient for a healthy lifestyle without a commitment to overall nutritional and activity changes. Likewise, being committed to writing an assignment is the starting point of a potential larger motivation to become a great writer. The latter requires long term planning and greater levels of self-motivation. Investigate your goals and sit with long term requisites needed to accomplish your goals and to sustain your growth. Sojourner, you have many unlived days ahead and you must choose to fill them with intentional goodness and self-motivation! #WithLove-InPeace-ThroughGrace A Life Giving Moment: Do Not Downsize Your Dreams Different Year-Different Choices Series Pt. 31/8/2014 A variation of the life you want to live or the goal you want to accomplish is not the real life you desire nor is it your real goal. If your goal is to bake a cake from scratch, the desire to try a new recipe and to engage the baking process are not honored when instead you go to the store and purchase a cake prepared by someone else’s hands.
Honoring the promptings of your Soul in small things is the primary action that cultivates an abundant life. The thing that is ‘sort of like’ what you want but not really all of what you desire will only hold your attention and fill you with joy for a season. One day your Soul is going to whisper, “This is not the fullness of me. This does not reflect my highest self. There is more to life than this!” The frustration will ensue along with sleepless nights and unwelcomed emotions. This cycle of discontent will continue until you surrender to the fullness of your dreams. The graveyards are filled with unlived dreams and the world is frustrated by the overpopulation of downsized hopes. Choose to upgrade your discipline to ensure that all of you come true! |
